Protecting the Bullies

The Michigan Senate recently passed an anti-bullying bill that leaves open a huge loophole for those who bully based on religious beliefs. In other words, if a gay student is being bullied by someone who at least claims that it is based on their religious beliefs, they get off scot-free in the name of "free speech" and "freedom of religion." Here is one Michigan senator's impassioned reply to what just occurred:
