As this is Pride month, I will be profiling some of the influential people within the community throughout June who have had a profound impact on this nation, or the world at large. Some you may have never heard of, some you may have heard of but perhaps you did not know they were part of the family. What these people have in common is not merely sexual minority status, but also how they changed perceptions of gay people or how they changed the world.
